Launch PR’s brand building programme for Thistle Hotels began with the launch of Thistle’s free unlimited Wi-Fi partnership with BT.

Free Wi-Fi has been an industry story since 2010, so we combined a neat piece of experiential on the roof of one of their London hotels with research that showed Wi-Fi was more important than a swimming pool on holiday. Once we’d added in some numbers on individual usage costs (we found £123m is spent a year on hotel Wi-Fi alone) and a journalist engagement programme culminating in an event at the top of the BT Tower, we’d secured stand out coverage and a significant uplift in brand loyalty.
